--------------------------------------------------------------------

You may not be aware that Hamilton, New Zealand was tne birthplace of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The movie's creator Richard O'Brien, a former Hamiltonian, developed the idea of Rocky Horror while living and working in Hamilton and attending movies at the now demolished Embassy Theatre. This statue is where the old theatre used to be. OBrien played the character, Riff Raff, in the movie, who is depicted in the statue.
