Asterisk Gallery was formed in May 2001, and is owned & operated by Cleveland artist Dana L. Depew. Located in the heart of Tremont, Asterisk Gallery has become one of Cleveland's top and cutting edge art hotspots.

A variety of Dana Depew's visual artwork fills the basement floor of the 2-story gallery space, including large paintings, Sharpie marker illustrations, wooden block assemblages, and large custom lighting fixtures.

The Asterisk Gallery showing of Mark's Postcard Diary prints was scheduled to coincide with the 7th Annual DEVOtional 2007 fan event, which was held the following night at Beachland Ballroom on Saturday, August 25th. Many Devotees from across the USA traveled long distances to enjoy a highly devolved weekend in good ol' O-HI-O.

20 of Mothersbaugh's framed Postcard Diary prints were on display at Asterisk, including titles dating back to Mark's 2003 Homefront Invasion! tour.
"Mindless Bob", a short movie illustrated & written by Mark Mothersbaugh circa 1999, was also featured at the show.

Some faces in the crowd: Anastasia Pantsios (Associate Editor of the Cleveland Free Times, and photographer who shot DEVO in the '70s), The DEVOtional crew, Devolved artist KRK Ryden, Cleveland artists Nicolette Capuano & Katherine Chilcote, and Joan Perch from Cleveland's Ingenuity Fest art show we participated in earlier this summer.

Special thanks to
Anastasia Pantsios for the great pre-show write-up in the Cleveland Free Times!
