KM Art Gallery is located in downtown Milwaukee, and has previously shown Mark's Postcard Diary works during the 2003
Homefront Invasion! tour.
Mark Mothersbaugh's schedule prevented him from attending the opening again, unfortunately. He was in Atlanta on reception night, as DEVO was scheduled to perform the next day at Atlanta's Midtown Music Fest.
This is the first time Mark's Postcard Diary works have been shown in a solo show this year. It was great to finally see them all on display, as I had only seen screen-sized images of most of them. I realized how colorful this show is, and how the prints tended to match what people in the gallery were wearing.
The only full-time resident of the gallery, Fred the cat, was a little fatter than he was in 2003, but just as lovable.
The show will be up until July 30th, so check it out if you are in the Milwaukee area.
Thanks to everyone for coming out, especially the two nice young ladies who drove from Chicago to attend the opening reception. Hope to see you again at another gallery show.
