DEVO was interviewed by a TV crew just before soundcheck at Summerstage (which I've heard will be aired on
Aug. 14 WABC7 in NY). They stood under a tent structure while the rain poured down around them. When asked
about their past visits to NYC, Jerry recalled a story about being on the set of SNL with John Belushi back when
Devo made their TV debut. Mark fiddled with his keyboard the whole time, giving the interview a wonderfully noisy soundtrack. When asked what they would be playing that night, they went through the set, title by title,
while Mark played quick, noisy renditions of each.
