::David Day's report on DEVO's show in Colorado

DAVID DAY'S REPORT on DEVO's show at
COORS AMPHITHEATRE - Aug. 23, 2005 - COLORADO

I had a great time at the recent concert held at the Coors Amphitheatre in Denver! Arrived from Melbourne, Australia the day before, and had to leave for overseas the very next morning after the concert at 6am!! Bought a ticket for the pits which was great too, right up at the front. Stood for 3 and a half hours before DEVO appeared, but it was worth the wait. I was the only one wearing a Blue Energy Dome in the crowd. My first DEVO concert was very memorable from two points. After the concert as the crowd was leaving, I was sitting down resting and a young girl came up with part of the 'radiation suits' she caught during the show and gave it to me!! I have a 'spare' Blue Energy Dome so I gave her the one I was wearing in exchange. Fantastic item from the concert as it is a top with DEVO still visible. One sleeve is missing, Mark tore it off during the show. Right sleeve is missing so it must have been either Bob 1 or Bob 2 who was wearing it.

I was staying at the airport hotel and used public transport that afternoon to get to the venue. But by the time the concert finished, public transport had stopped. I asked a traffic policeman where I could phone a cab, and he said there was a hotel nearby down the road. I walked there and phoned for a taxi from the lobby. While waiting in the lobby, Bob 1 and Bob 2 walked in !!! I was shocked, but able to thank them for a great concert, and have a short talk to Bob 2. Unfortunately I forgot to take some photos. Silly me.

Well, just a short report, can't wait for my next concert !!!
