FUSE Gallery is part of Lit Lounge in the East Village of NYC.
FUSE hosted Mark's Homefront Invasion! show in the summer of
2003, and decided to host Mark's Beautiful Mutants in 2004.

Mark and DEVO were in town to perform live the same week as the FUSE show. The first show was for Nike's 5/10k race event at Morningside Park on July 22. The second performance was at
Central Park's Summerstage with The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Stellastar on July 23. Both shows were sold out far in advance, and
helped hype the FUSE art show immensely.

The opening reception was held on Saturday July 24th, and
FUSE was absolutely packed from 6:30pm until nearly 3am.
Some notable folks in attendence were: Mark's partner in Devo, Gerald V. Casale, performance artist Joe Coleman,
early Devo video director Chuck Statler, NYC artist Erik Foss,
and an old friend of Devo's from Akron, OH - Bobbie Watson
(whose early Devo photographs were used on their LPs).

FUSE Gallery succeeded in finding new homes for
over 25 Beautiful Mutants during the opening reception alone,
which is the highest adoption rate of any gallery show this year.

New Beautiful Mutants merchandise made its debut at the
reception, including a new long sleeve T-shirt design, and a
few very limited edition messanger bags which sold out quickly.

The show is up until September 4th, so be sure
to check it out if you're in the area.
