Rod & Joan Firestone, seen here with My Beautiful Wedding, have known Mark since his days at Kent State in Ohio.
Rod is a founding member of the legendary Rubber City Rebels from Akron. He was also part owner of The Crypt - Akron's answer to CBGB's in the late 70's, where DEVO often performed in the early days.
