CABAZON, CA - KEY CLUB AT MORONGO
California was burning on the day DEVO arrived at the Morongo in Cabazon, CA. More specifically, the hills across the street were burning. As we approached the venue DEVO performed at on Oct. 26th, we saw a huge wildfire crossing the mountains near Palm Springs. It was an incredible sight, and could be easily viewed from our hote. This was the first of a few shows for a group of Devoted fans who all met in San Francisco (some coming all the way from PA and the UK!) , and drove together to most of the DEVO gigs in Oct./Nov. |

ANAHEIM, CA - THE GROVE
Archie's Ice Cream was backstage at another DEVO show, and there was cause for celebration. DEVO loves ice cream, but especially Archie's.
The caravan of Devoted Spuds traveling to all the West Coast shows continued on their obsesso quest for an overdose of Live DEVO.
Alex Brunelle of Booji Boy's Basement, one of those traveling spuds who joined the group in Anaheim, said:
"My first DEVO show in over a year, and there was much anticipation. I met some truly incredible spuds, and somehow met Johnny Vatos of Oingo Boingo backstage beforehand! When the boys came on stage and played "Peek-A-Boo", I was too flabbergasted to remember to take any pictures. Mark's new shaggy 'do was absolutely adorable."
